The community theme group was formed to focus on areas of community concern identified during the pubic consultation.

Employment and economic growth is important for ensuring a dynamic and sustainable community. Although predominantly residential, Burbage does contain small business and retail facilities. The Burbage Neighbourhood Plan aims to assist in retaining these business and retail facilities as they are valued by the residents of the village and further afield. The Plan will also support applications that generate suitable employment opportunities provided they do not have a significant impact on the environs of the village.
